2 johnsons came with the boat i picked up a 1958 35hp and a 1963 28hp i removed the lower units to check the condition of the impellers they looked good but on the 28hp the waterpump housing was cracked, could i use the one from the 35hp even though it has 2 tubes coming from it and the 28hp only has 1? 2nd question is regarding throttle or "speed controll" where it says fast start slow on the 28hp i can move it easlily by hand and seems fine. on the 35hp it seems to be stuck and i have to use a bit of force and once it gets past ther hard part its opens right up easy but then its realsly hard again to return it looks like theres a murcury switch on there to not sure what that does, the 28hp doesnt have one is this an easy fix? does the switch have something to go with it? im totaly new to outboards so exuse my ignorance havent started either motor yet but was hoping to use the 35hp because its short shaft
