I just replaced the control cables on my outboard (1998 honda 90), one problem i am having is that the throttle cable does not seem long enough to simultaneously attach to the throttle pulley mechanism and the control unit. So i think i have either attached incorrectly at the control unit, or the actual plastic piece that the cable attaches to needs to be loosened and adjusted back to compensate for the cable being short. I'm hesitant to adjust this because, the old cable and the new cable are the same length and design. I took pictures of the cable attachment (motor end) before i took the old cables off, but like a dumba.., did not take a picture of where the cables attached to the control unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
