Hey guys, first ever post.
Bought a 1998 Regal 2100 Lsr a few months have and ever since have been fixing non-stop problems. A new v8 Chevy 350 small block was installed 2 years ago. Only the other week I got the steering cable replaced as it would not steer to the left at all. Ever since the mechanics did that work the throttle will not accelerate in forward or reverse much more than idle speed. I have checked the carby and it's all fine, it is directly related to the throttle cable or the controls themselves I believe. I think when they did the work they cut all the zip ties holding all the wiring together to free up the steering cable and somehow now it has been loosened. I've attached a video to show how little the cable actually pulls out from the outer sheath.
If I reach my arm under the gunwall and hold the throttle cable tight while pushing forward the control then it does in fact accelerate fully.
Not sure how to fix this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.
