Throttle Cable Replacement

My throttle cable broke today on my 1980 50hp mercury outboard. I am looking for suggestions for best brand to replace it with. Also looking for best online site for Merc parts. I have a fuel bowl that is leaking under one of my carbs. A new gasket has not helped.

Any Brand throttle cable will work, if it is compatable with Merc. Teleflex makes a good one.

Sounds like you need a new inlet needle and seat for that motor. I would inspect the float as they disolve over time. Replacement is a good idea. Those parts are avail aftermarket. Google on the part numbers.
