Throttle cable

I have an 88 bayliner trophy that originally had a 3.0 litre engine in it. I swapped to a 5.0 litre but was wondering if there is a difference in the length of the cable from where it mounts to the mounting block on the engine and to the carb or will the one that came with the 3.0 litre match up with the 5.0 litre? any help is much appreciated.

Ayuh,.... Generally speakin' the throttle cable don't care what motor it's hooked up too...

Yer application may vary...
