I just swapped my 90hp stroke Yamaha for a 50hp 4 stroke Honda. Using the same throttle/shift cables.
My problem now is that the throttle cable is too short (about 3 inches) when I'm in neutral. I have tried reversing the shift cable with the throttle cable just in case i had mixed up. But that wasn't the problem.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?
Seems like I need an extension on the end of the cable. Do they make such a thing?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you!
