I replaced the throttle cables on my 1981 Johnson 150. Before I removed them the helm lever would go into FW/N/RV no problem. Now, when I push the lever forward, the cable at the helm pulls out of the sleeve and the cable at the engine end pulls into the sleeve.

When I look inside the throttle box at the helm, it looks like it is working the way it is supposed to. No loose pieces, no corrosion, everything moves smoothly.) When I look at the end of the throttle cable at the engine side, it looks like it is supposed to work exactly the opposite to the way it does. Did I put it back together backwards? I have looked at it again and again & looked in Clymers but I cannot see how else the remote throttle box can go back together. Are there any common mistakes I might be making? It's driving me crazy. Please help!
