throttle cam alignment for 6604a

I have a 1976 6hp #6604A Evinrude outboard. I need the throttle cam settings. Does the front edge of the cam follower roller or the center of the follower roller have to line up with the two cam marks? I've done this before with a throttle shaft amplifier hooked to the carb shaft. I just couldn't remember about the roller and my book says either or?

I believe the center of the roller needs to be centered between the two marks, which would put the left edge of the roller on the right side mark.
