throttle clamp on 15 evinrude.

just changed from mariner 15 with a throttle clamp to evinrude 98 15hp. Does the evinrude have any throttle clamp and is it the front plastic screw part on the front of the throttle handle. trying to figure this out without boat in the water!!

Welcome to iboats. <br /><br />I believe the tip of the tiller arm has a friction knob that turns to adjust. Some other brands have a knob under the arm.
