Hi,
I have just got a mercury 25 four stroke to replace my 1990 two stroke model, the new engine was a tiller model but I got the remote control kit added to enable me to run it from my original quicksilver control box or at least that was the plan. When i tried to fit the throttle cable i found that the throttle on the new engine requires a 'pull' whilst the control box i have pushes the cable to open the throttle.
Does anyone know of a way of reversing the action of the throttle cable? I've had a look inside the control and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way of doing it. Failing that does anyone know of a site that i can download the instructions for a quicksilver control unit (probably a commander 2000 but i'm not sure)
