Hi Guys,
I finally went ahead and opened up all 3 carbs on my 1993 DT75, soaked them in varsol overnight and put them back together. The motor runs a whole lot better now. No more old issues. However I am having trouble with the trottle control. Once I put it in forward gear it is really hard to put it back in neutral unless I shut off the motor. I figure that my idle is reving too high leading to gear shifting problem. So I screwed in the idle screws to 1 rev before fully closed (the manual says they should be between 1.5 - 2 revs). Anyways, this seemed to help and I can move from forward to reverse much easily. I don't have atachometer to tell me the exact revs (I should get one).
Now my question: is this setting ok or should I do something else because this is different from what the manual is telling me. the idle screws were in good shape - no wear-tear. Should I change them. Is there any other setting that I am missing ?? Anybody else experienced this problem ?? Thanks for all the help.
