Throttle Control

I just bought a 1971 AristoCraft. The throttle dosnt have a button to give throttle with out being in gear. anyone seen this before.

no idea if i can help. but for sure to be helpful we'll need to know who's drive? and or remote (if aftermarket) at the helm..
