Throttle Handle Slipping

Hey Guys,

I have a 2000 Johnson 200 hp Ocean Pro on a Hydra Sports cc. The throttle will not stay in place when cruising and is hard to hold steady in waves. If I take my hand off of it, it goes back to a fast idle. The throttle assembly mounted to the console does not have a name or any markings on it so I don't know if it is std equip't or after market. I had a mechanic look at it and he said there was no friction screw adjustment to tighten it up. Does anyone know if there is a remedy?

Thanks,

Jake

If you could post a picture of the control maybe someone could help you out.
