Throttle linkage torque and fuel line specs...???

Ok, I replaced the fuel line on the inline 4 cylinder Merc 115 HP. It is sandwiched between the throttle linkage and the block and runs from the fuel pump located at the bottom and winds its way to the top. The boat dealer sold me the grey fuel line, but this does not seem to have the flexibility to bend and turn in order to get the fuel line to clear the WOT throttle stop. If I try and move the throttle to WOT, the hose blocks/wedges the travel of the linkage.

What type of fuel hose should I be using??? Is there a certain route to take? The shop manual that I have does not cover this very well.

Next question is: How tight, or what torque specs do I apply to the large bolt that connects the throttle linkage to the block. If I tighten it down it won't pivot easily. If I loosen it I am afraid it will vibrate all the way loose. Thoughts?

Here is an example of someone else's motor. They have the black fuel line, but not sure what the thickness of the hose is. Or how it is not getting in the way of the WOT stop.

They may have sold you the fuel line that goes from the motor to the tank. It is grey, stiff and doesn't like small radius's.
I would use a good quality automobile fuel line. Perhaps one rated for fuel infection.

As far as the bolt goes are you sure it's the right one. I would think it would have shoulder on it that would contact the block and give you the right space.
Perhaps there is a washer in the wrong place?

I had to use the black fuel line to make it work. It still rubs but at least I can get to WOT. I tried the blue polyurethane fuel line like I have used on snowmobiles and it fit perfectly, but when I squeezed the fuel bulb to get fuel to the carbs the gas squeezed between the blue fuel line and the nipple it was attached to. The zip tie apparently did not have enough pressure.

The throttle lever bolt was the correct one, it turns out the spring that sits inside both halves of the throttle levers was not sitting flush and caused the lever not to be tightened down fully.
