throttle linkage

I need a throttle linkage for my 140 mercruiser. I need the system that is attached to the outside of the manifold, not the one that comes across the valve cover.

Does anyone know where I can get these parts new? and/or a pic of it on an engine?

Here is a link to Mercruisers Parts Experss. Just put in your engine serial number and it will show you all the parts for your engine.

Merc put out the engines called 140's for a lot of years, and there were quite a few changes over the years. Might want to give the year of your engine (Not the boat, they will be different) to help find the proper linkage.

The engine is 86 and it used the across the valve cover system which I cant use. I need the system from the 70's model 140. I'm useing the manifold from the 86 with a straight 180 elbow to connect to my factory pipe. And a merc carb. but I need the bolts, pivot, and linkage that bolts to the side of the manifold. As long as its for a manifold that doesnt have the bolt on carb mounting plate it should work. The parts from a straight 6 chevy should also work.

Also the mercury parts site sucks, It only works if your using an exact swap. It wont let you browse to find what you need unless you have the ser number. It needs a year and model feature as well.

Sorry, I assumed you were trying to fix something that was broke, not trying to preform a "I'll make it Fit Somehow" project.

There is some good pics of just the parts, but without a pic of them installed I got on clue
