Throttle & Shift control quandry

My son mounted a new set of binnacle mount controls for twins, model UltraFlex B-74.
My original set is a OEM Quicksilver unit (below). The Quicksilver unit has the (standard) outdrive lock out's (neutral) switches on the side of the handle's axis.
The Ultraflex doesn't have these.
The cables match and the neutral (detented) start switch works fine.
HOWEVER.....
1. How do I throttle in neutral, without going in gear?
2. Did I buy the wrong control unit?
3. Do I mount a set of switches in series with the detented-internal neutral start?
4. Do the switches mechanically unlock the shift cable from engaging?
Thanks
Eric

Re: Throttle & Shift control quandry

What a Dumb**s. my helper is. I did have to go to the Italien web site and do a translation but the short answer is:

# Pull-out handle disengages shift for warm-up
# Neutral safety switch X12 - 34543 Q (optional) prevents in-gear starting

Whoda thunk! I guess that solves that problem !
Thanks to all of you who pondered this idiocy.
