Throttle throw

I just picked up a 16 Wellcraft with a 2002 50hp Johnson. During sea trial I notices that there was very little travel on the throttle control on the console. Motor went fron idle to wot with very little movement of the lever.<br />Is there an adjustment in the single lever control?

What brand and type of control is it?

I don't see a manufacturer lable on it, it is black and I believe orginal equipment with the wellcraft which is 1996. Maybe if I remove it I will be able to determine the manufacturer.

You may be able to move the cable a notch closer to center pivot point of lever in the box. This would allow a little more travel of the handle. You will just have to remove the box and see whats there to work with.
