Corsa has everything you will need for that, including easy to follow templates for drilling the holes.
http://www.corsaperf.com/
Be advised there is almost ZERO hp increase with thru hull on a V6 engine.....but it does sound cool as hell.

Re: through hull exhausts

I have twin 350s with thru hull and, yup it sounds cool as heck it gets old REAL fast...

My wife was on a beach last week and I buzzed by maybe 1 mi or so offshore and she said "Boy that boat is really loud!"

You can easily become the skunk at the garden party. I can't pull into a marina without everyone there watching as I come in. I hate that. So I just bought some silencers....

I'm sure you have really thought about it, but if you haven't you might want to think about it a little first...

Kinda depends on what your interests are....some of us love the sound of engines.....
and the marinas we frequent cater to the loud crowd so there aren't any delicate ears to offend.

My buddy has a 20' Mariah and he put through hull exhaust on it. The exhaust ports out of the side plus it has a switch on his contol panel that allows him to go silent. Its great. Rumble sound when you want it and regular exhaust when you don't. I'm not sure what the brand is, but I could find out if you would like me to. I think he paid around $1200 for the kit. He has a 350 mag.

You might want to hear a 4.3 before you spend the money. Your engine won't sound like a V8 with open exhaust.

The exhaust is a Corsa. He bought it from a local marina. Not sure who would ship to the uk. Maybe a google search is in order. Good Luck.

Do an internet search using the words "Captains Choice". That is another switchable alternative.

I agree that the V-6 sound goofy with straight exhaust.

If it were me, I'd leave the open exhaust to the bare chested gold chain types. :D

I thought my buddies' twin 502s in his 32-foot Fountain sounded cool until last weekend at the Ozarks. Auggie Busch the 4th pulled in with his custom catamaran with twin 1200 hp aircraft motors. Hard to top that sound.

Whatever you do, there is always someone with more $$$, a faster boat, and a taller woman.

i love it when i am at the lake or bay enjoyeing my friends and family and a loud boat comes buy and we have to stop talking until they get a mile away because i a sure he is going at least 2 mph faster by not useing silncers and if enough people do it we can end up with lots of new regs like jet skis

tommays

Thanks for that comment.

I could make all sorts of derogatory statments about bass tournaments, sailboats, fishermen, jet skis, "professional fishermen", pontoon boats, etc as everyone of those have something that torques me off, but I don't.
The OP asked about adding thru hull, not your 2 cents on what you like and dislike.

it is not at all derogatory to state the fact that everything we do has a inpact on are abilty to contuine to use the water

i dont no what it like in ohio but on long island noise has allready been used to restrict boating use because it bothers the nesting birds

tommays

bomar76 - that reminds me of just one other caveat - because of the noise, everyone assumes you are going a lot faster than you are. I have had people yell "slow down" in no wake zones when I am just going the minimum headway speed. No joke. In the meantime other boats are flying around leaving big wakes go unnoticed. Just a fact of life with thru hull you should be aware of. I guess another reason to vote for the switchable type if you can afford it.

Re: through hull exhausts

Ralph-
The odd thing I notice is it's never the big offshore typeboats that are going through the no wake areas at 20+ MPH...it's the bass boats, jet skis, and old tri hulls.
I boat with the muscle types, and we (at least all that I boat with) are very observant of all rules. We wait our turn at the ramps, stay away from the fishermen, observe no wake zones, don't anchor in channels, don't cut donuts in the beach areas, etc, etc....and you are right - we get all sorts of dirty looks and one finger salutes from other boaters.
It doesn't bother any of us one bit.
Maybe they are all jealous.

HMMMM!
Didnt mean to stir up an arguement!
But yes i am only thinking of it i want a switchable type and NOT a straight through LOUD type either, i want a silencer so as to create a deep noise rather that a ****OFF loud noise.
thanks

Re: through hull exhausts

Let me know how it sounds if you do it. I posted about this once with my old boat. These guys talked me out of it noting the sound difference thing. I paid closer attention around town between people that had put dual exhaust on their chevy trucks that had v-6's vs. v-8's. It's not the same on the street so I was guessing that it wouldn't be the same on the water either.
Now I have a different boat with a 350 Mag and a corsa system. Being able to turn it off is definitely a plus. You are like the harley guy with straight pipes only in the water. But boy the sound rocks when you want it. It adds a little more charactor to the experience. Performance wise these guys are correct. I might get an extra 100 rpm's or so with it open. But the sound is worth it. I personally try not to **** people off with it though. I heard my boat once from the bank with my wife driving and it is 5 times louder on the beach than when in the boat. I was very surprised.
