I have a 3.0 Mercruiser GM engine in my 93 Chaparral 18' with an Alpha drive. The hose from outdrive connects to a barbed 90 degree plastic fitting that goes thru the hull which supplies the engine with fresh water. My barbed fitting has developed a small crack in it and I can't seem to locate the part from no Mercruiser dealers. I noticed this crack on start up this year and feel like if I put her in the water I stand the risk of the engine running hot because of insuffcient water supply to engine. Does anyone know the part number of this 90 degree elbow or a dealer that has this part on hand? I have looked at numerous diagrams and it only shows the cooling system diagram but not the thru hull water inlet barbed connector. The barbed fitting goes thru the hull and on the inside of the hull there is 2 bolts that tighten down on a grommet to seal off the fitting. If anyone knows or has info on this part please respond....Thanks, alorio1

I also had trouble finding that part. Even with the part number you need to put a space before the final 1 to find it on many online sites. 32-41672 1. It was a pain to change even with the bellows off. Search this forum and you can find a post of how to do with without removing everything. It takes 2 people to do it that way!

The plastic or copper tubing is not barbed. the fitting in the housing is.Once you remove everything to access the inlet tube and you have the room inside the boat to remove the 2 bolts and rubber ring ,it`s a piece of cake.

Yep, my mistake, when my friend showed me the crack I thought the pipe was barbed.
