Well, as some of you may know I'm building a 383 for my 1984 Sea Gem project. I bought a set of GLM manifolds with 4" risers to replace the bad 3" that was there.
My question is really 2 part, to adapt to my original Y pipe, the new risers are 7 deg as opposed to 15 deg I'm thinking a 75 deg elbow 3"x4"?
2nd part of my question - is the drive exhaust setup going to choke the heck out of the engine, should I just go to a through the transom with exhaust tip mufflers instead.
the engine is a mild build 9.5:1 cr Comp Cams Extreme Marine 256h, ported and polished 882 heads ( yea I know they are known to crack
but they were free) if I went to a 64cc head I would have had to switch to a dish piston to keep the cr down torker manifold (also Free)
Any thoughts?
