Dumb question but does the thrust washer jsut sit on the shaft like a washer on a blot so it is easy to remove by hand or is it on the shaft tight? Removed my prop while waiting for new one and I dont see one there but the shaft does have what could look like a washer there but I cant just pull it off

Re: thrust washer

They often get stuck. Tap it with a hammer, it'll flop off.

Re: thrust washer

Before you put it back on, grease the shaft and splines with a waterproof grease such as Lubriplate white. Also take note that (at least on mine) the thrust washer only goes on one way....the propshaft is tapered where it mounts and the tapers on it and the washer need to match.
