Hi, While replacing the Base engine this winter, I am going to go with Aluminum Manifolds. The Imco Thumper, Eddie Marine EMI, and Kodiak seem to be in the same ballpark. Anyone with experience with these, could you let me know what you think. Thanks Roman

Re: Thumper, EMI, or Kodiak

are you going to see salt water?

the two others you might want to consider are imco power flows and stainless marine.

if going salwater, stainless marine anodized and coated are probably the most durable by reputation, folllowed by the emi and imco powerflow anodized / coated. the imco will make a little bit more power than the others (based on a local bulders dyno testing).

soooo if you want performance, imco, then emi, similar price range, both good products,

if you want durability (and decent preformance), stainless marine.

those are all in the 2-3 grand range,

the others are cheaper and probably in the same range performance wise. I know that imco products have always been well made as have emi. don't think you could go wrong with either... imho

The only water those will see is fresh Lake Superior water, or as they say here, "Sweetwater."
Thanks for the opinion. Roman

Ayuh,.... I think you'll find that Eddie Marine, and Kodiak are the Same castings...
I believe Kodiak is the manufacturer, 'n Eddie Marine is just a marketer of 'em...

I know the gaskets, 'n everythingelse is interchangeable between 'em....
