Hi,

I am both new to the Forum and new to boating. For a 1st boat, I am looking at 1979 Thundercraft Magnum 160ss with 1984 70hp Evinrude. I will be using this boat on small inland lakes (Wisconsin) a handfull of times a year for mainly fishing, and pulling some tubes.
Anybody have experience/advice on this boat?
we are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 little kids), and I hoping for a boat to get us going and see how we liek it.
Thanks!!!

That motor is a fantastic motor that if in good condition and properly maintained will outlive you. Parts easily available. Check the deck and transom carefully for rot and if all is sound that will be an excellent first boat perfect for just what you're looking to do with it.
