I started to pull the deck up in my 15ft 79 titan ss, I got the seats and carpet out and found a particle board mess thrown on top of the original floor! I proceeded to get the real floor up and found lots and lots and lots more termites.
I pulled all the wood I could get to out and im going to pull the cap off and build a new transom. Any and all suggestions on building materials will be greatly appreciated.
Also if any one out there has pulled the cap from a thundercraft trihull what is the best way to go about doing it?????

Welcom to iBoats. Do a search on the forum for Thundercraft and I am SURE you will find a lot.

As far as Materials. Most people on here use Ext. grade ply wood, either Poly or epoxy resin ( USComposites.com is a good supplier) Harbor Freight 4" Grinder Respiratork, Tyvek suit. BEER and your all set.

I'm just sayin...:D

Most windshields are attaced using t-bolts thru the frame. You will need to get on your back and look up under the top cap and see if you can locate the nuts with a usually 3/8" socket.

Re: Thundercraft resto

Well after a night of great fishing I talked my buddy in to looking over my boat(he has restored a 72 glasstron gt160) he jumped out and told me the transom is solid and my "termites" are just little black ants. So all this said the coast and labor should go way down.
