Anyone on here have a tiara 3300 open? What props are you running?
boat I just picked up with twin Crusader 454 350hp 1.9gears has 17x20 3 blades. These props are too small. I’m barely making top end rpm, and cruise at 3200 barely makes 16kt and cannot get the bow down. I believe tiara originally equipped this with 18x21 3blades. Local mechanic as well as a prop shop advised on 19x19s which will give me much better cruising speed and get the stern up to lower the bow. My concern with 19s is clearance from the hull.
Anyone run 19” props? Or does anyone have a 3300 that’s still on dry dock that can measure the shaft to the hull at the prop for me?
my goal is to get a new set of props in hand before I haul the boat to swap them.
