Tight pivot bushing HD25

Hello,<br /><br /> I've got a ~1950 Johnson HD-25. The pivot is extremely tight. Can't hardly turn the boat. What is the reccomended lubricant for the pivot bushing, and what's the best way to get it in there? The Clamp is loose, but I don't know if I've got damage in there.<br /><br /> CJ

I don't know how to help with your problem, but I recently was given an HD 25 and am missing the swivel bracket and the impeller -- plus several bolts. The motor won't swivel at all (it's jammed). I would sure appreciate a picture of the leg and the impeller if you take it apart. I haven't been able to locate a manual. If you have any idea where to get one I would appreciate knowing where.
