This might be a stupid question , but can a prop be over tightened?. I switched props and wondered if it had to be torqued or not .I have an 87 force 125hp
The propeller nut should be torqued to 55 foot pounds, if you are afraid you overtightened it just back it off a little bit and then re-torque it. You should be fine
