1987 Evrinrude 8 (E8RCUD)
I bought this motor with the tiller as shown in the picture. I'm trying to determine which parts I need to order to put my tiller together. I have the grip(#42), kill switch (#49) and the wires(49a, 49b) that lead to the kill switch. If I put the 2 wires together the motor shuts off so they appear to be ok. I know that I need the helix (#52) and clip (#48) but I'm not sure what else it need. I can't figure out how this all goes back together, either.
I have the OMC service manual but it doesn't describe this in detail.
