Anyone know where I can get a carb rebuild kit for the CC Challenger using a Tillotson MD7A carb. If not,,does anyone know the thickness of the gasket paper for the bowl? I'll make my own if I can't get one. I'm done the ignition and now I'm into the carb. Looks very clean but the gasket is shot. I tried searches on the internet and found one company but that model was one they didn't have a carb for.

Checked Larson out and they had the gasket pretty cheap ($2.50) but the shipping cost bought it up to $10.00. Unless you're ordering a number of parts or an unobtainable anywhere else part it's too much. I finally found some gasket material I had and made it up. Anyway, the carb is cleaned and ready. Next step is cleaning the (thank God) aluminum tank. It looks pretty clean to begin with. I'll let you know when it's fired up.

the paper size I settled on comes in at about .65mm but the SA MD carbs I have been making gaskets for need the exact thickenss of gasket for the main needle jet to line up and the new cork/rubber gasket material is to thick to my eye, the needle is in the bowl and the jet is in the body...is that the way the MD7A is made?? those gaskets are easy to make from the bowl end with some printers ink, a little time and proccedure. I let my first coat of ink dry to the extent it will over night, then the next day I lightly re coat it and stamp as many as I want to cut out, then whittle away
