tilt and trim 1973 johnson 135hp

I would like to add a tilt and trim to this motor does anyone know what years will fit. I can get one from a 98 rude 150 but not sure if it will fit<br /> Thanks Bill

Not even close. The trim units they had back then were really crappy. You're better off without.

Finding an entire unit for your engine could be difficult, but that is the only way I would look for one. You can still find these engine's around with a blown powerhead, or gearcase that can be bought quite cheaply. Of course these early unit's are not up to, today's standard's, but I would'nt call them crap. You certainly are not better off without. I bought a 73, 135 early this summer complete with control's, plus a good working TNT for under a $100. They can be found if you take time to look.
