Tilt and Trim connecting rod??

My T&T gauge stopped working recently. I've determined that the sending unit is good, but it's not connected to anything. When I move the lever, the gauge works, but the sending lever doesn't touch anything. There must be a piece missing, but by the looks of it, I can't see that anythings missing our out of place. Looking at the exploded diagram, it appears that there may be a tube or cam missing. The sending unit is in good shape. It is a '82 Johnson 150HP. I must be stupid, because I can't figure this one out.

Any help? Part #?

How about posting a picture of the issue? The sender is spring loaded and held in place with a screw ...go to www.boats.net and zoom in on the diagrams you see exactly whats missing on yours?
