Tilt and trim not working

Hello I have a 1985 mercruiser 140Hp w Alpha stern drive I need to know where too wire the trim and trailer sensor wires too I have a blue\w wire and purple \wire that are free i know that the purple is for the trailer I have a quicksilver control box. all the solenoids motor and switch have power too them it but nothing happens what could be the problem. if someone can send a pick of that motor with wires attached I can see the wiring thanks TJ

if everything has power why are you chasing a switch? if you apply 12v+ to the pump motor green or blue wire and - to the pump black wire and it does not work I would suspect a motor over a switch.<br /> the trim limit switch is on the port side of the drive. its actually labeled .<br /> when you hit the trim do the solinoids click? have you checked the pump motor ground lead ?<br />how are you testing for power, where are you connecting the ground path for your tester ?

I got it running now thanks for the info my battery was low on voltage and I cleaned some terminals

cool<br /> bout time to hook up some stripers down by katy bridge and soon the crappie should show up at walling bend and cedron creek. I guess the sandies are about gone. if the money is right I got a few parts for ya, I need a round trip to DFW

what kind of parts do you have seems like youve been down here before. i used too live in N.Dallas area for 12 years I lived out here for about 3 years now
