tilt and trim quick question

I'm sure its been covered before but i'm wondering if i can wire my tilt and trim on my 1977 200 Evinrude without relays ?? it has two wires comming from the motor blue and green...i am wanting to put it on a "three way" switch i think its called basically a tilt and trim switch without the relays thanks for any help Jason

Relays are used because of the high current required to operate the T&T. A switch wired direct wouldn't last very long at all.
