Tilt and Trim Really slow

I have an 87' rude 175. The tilt is going up really slow. Sometimes I have to help it up. Should I go ahead and replace the trim motor or is there something else that I should check first?

To test electric motor, disconnect at connector, use small jumper wires directly from battery to elec motor. If motor speed is now okay, then obviously it is okay.

If so, suspect loose or dirty connections and clean them.
