tilt and trim

Hey guys I have a 1974 115hp evinrude. I was wonderin if you guys could tell me what years I could use the tilt and trim off of another motor that will fit mine? also should I be able to put my motor into fwd and rev by hand? cause I caint. I have the lower unit off and I caint get it to move.

The gearcase is hard to shift by hand unless it is filled with oil because it is hydraulically assisted. When full, turning the prop shaft while raising or lowering the shift rod will help.

The PT&T systems from 1973 through 1977 will fit but you will need the whole system including the wiring and harness. Otherwise use a CMC aftermarket or similar.
