I am verifing that my limit switch on my '96 Merc Alpha I Gen? is set right. I have searched the posts and found the mercstuff.com article on setting the limit switch. That article says I should have 6 1/2" from the rod end cap of the cylinder to the center of the rod end bolt. I only have 4 1/2" right now. Should I have more? Doesn't seem that I should need more. I can over trim now and cause ventilation. Would only help in shallow water or while trying to beach the boat. So is 6 1/2" right or is the 4 1/2" right?<br /><br />Thanks<br />Chris
