Tilt cylinder leaking fluid

Just got my motor back on the boat after doing the tedious task of rebuilding my trim/tilt on a 78 chrysler 140hp. It lifts and lowers but the tilt cylinder is leaking fluid out at the top where the hydraulic line connects.

There's a metal band with a fitting on it and I think it's stripped. Is there any fix for this or is it toast? I took a picture of what I'm talking about.

The metal band is made of brass. You can take it off and inspect to see if it is stripped or maybe just some cleaning. You do not want to overtight this band. Tight enough only to stop leaking and no more. If it is stripped you can always order a new one it is called, cylinder band assembly and costs around $45! The part # is F2A654983

Wow, I'm surprised that part is still available! I've never had much luck finding tilt/trim system parts. Mine is definitely stripped. Thanks for the part number, hopefully this will take care of the leak and get my trim system working.

Ah wish I saw that, I paid $43 on eBay. Not terrible though if it fixes my leak.
