Hello
I have a 2004 merc 9.9 4 stroke - serial number starts with "OT9..." - I think I'm missing a tilt lever on it - since when I have to tilt the engine out of the water, I either have either reach around the back of the motor to move the "rubber catch" off the tilt pin to disengage it from this tilt pin - or slide a stainless steel bar up - this bar is nere the shift shaft... seems like there should be some type of lever somewhere instead - any one know ? once the motor is tilted and out of the water - there is a 'lock' that holds the motor in the up position - I'm talking about some part that is supposed to disengage the lock from the tilt pin
