Tilt n Trim

I am restoring an 89 Tracker with an 89 Evinrude. The tilt and trim has been disconnected. I am looking for any info regarding this. For example there has to be a motor and a pump.........where are they located? How are the contol cables routed? Also what is the best manual to buy for this motor? Also looking for a manual for the boat showing the locations of the components. Thanks to all.

what size is the motor? Does the motor have a tilt and trim on the transom bracket that holds the motor to the boat it should have what looks like a black can a bit smaller that a coke can with wires in it?

It is an Evinrude Tracker 40 hp. I see no wires coming to the motor. There is what looks like a hydraulic cylinder on the motor by the transom. I see the rod on the ram. I notice 2 connections for wires or some type of lines. The throttle and the bow of the boat have up and down switches.
