Can anyone please tell me the correct name for the pin that adjusts the tilt angle of engine? my engine had a piece of mild steel threaded rod about 101/2 inches long with nuts both sides which were rusted solid,I have cut this bolt out as I will need to adjust the engine tilt angle after several trials, I have seen this pin on other engines and think it is fitted with a fitting called an ANTILUCE on one side only, other side is solid, ie pin can only slide out one way? any help please, JBD.

Re: Tilt Pin/Bolt?

The Johnson/Evinude people call it a thrust rod.

Re: Tilt Pin/Bolt?

Cr@p, looks like the second link doesn't work. Try this instead.
Go to this site
http://epc.brp.com/default.aspx?brands=ej&lang=E
and select 'advanced' under SEARCH. Under model number in the top left corner, type in E40ELCR and you should get one listing. Select that listing and you will be taken to the page where all part diagrams should be available to you.
