Not totally new to the forum or pontoons. We had a pontoon about 5years ago and I joined the forum then but I couldn't remember my username and had to join again!
My question is on the tilt mechanism . There's a small tab on the left side of the motor but for the life of me I can't figure it out I need to post a couple of pics but I guess I have to post several times before I can post some pics!
The boat is a 90 Lowe, 20' with a (assuming) 90 force 50 hp.
If in the meantime someone can figure it out.......Thankyou in advance!

Welcome aboard. Welcome aboard - second time around.

With no pics yet, I'll guess the tab is the tilt release or whatever Force calls it. Lift the motor all the way up and the tilt tab should drop and it should lock tilted up To lower the motor, lift the motor and lock tab at the same time, then let the motor down. Pretty sure that's the trick.

Pontoonsaloon,
Your question is more about your engine than the boat it is attached to. There is a Force outboard forum here that might be even more helpful in answering your question. Force Forum

Good point, Tommy. I missed that on the first go around. This is now in the Force/Chrysler section for a better shot at answers.

That is the way I lock my Johnson motor way up.
