Tilt/Trim and Jack Plate together

I started a thread recently about which would be better a tilt and trim or jack plate for my 48SPL on a 16' Duracraft.

The consensus was, and I agree, that the tilt and trim would be more important and better than a jack plate.

But, out of curiosity, would it be practical to bolt the CMC tilt/trim to the hyd. jack plate to have the benefit of both?
This would create a set back of 10-11 inches.
I am looking at adding flotation pods as well.
What do you think? Is it crazy?

That is alot of setback and added weight not to mention majorly pricey especially if you are only running a 48, I don't think you would get enough speed out of it to justify the cost.

The tt should be enough and should give you a decent speed increase over no trim, we have a very similar set up, I run a CNC tt on a 16' with a 50 and get right at 30 mph, just set it up right and you won't need a jackplate.

I got mine to where you have to tap the trrim going into a turn to keep it from ventilating but in a straight line it runs great, in other words the engine is already as high as it can go, get the TT first and see how it runs.

TT and jack is ideal, but combining those makes for a lot of setback.

I think I'd just set up the TT with the right engine height.

Is this a tinny? You can put a tunnel in if your looking to go real skinny.
