Tilt/Trim Bleeding Down

I have a 93 200 Mariner Magnum EFI. When loading the boat, I usually trim up a little and give it the gas to push it up on the trailer. The last couple of outings, I noticed that when I give it gas, the motor will drop down (the trim not holding up). After the first time this happened, I noticed that while running down the lake, the trim guage will drop a little and I have to keep trimming up. The weight of the motor alone is not enough to force it to bleed down, but I do see the problem under a load. What are my options for getting this fixed? If I have to replace the entire assembly, what are your opinions on rebuilt kits? Is it worth the money or should I buy new?

Re: Tilt/Trim Bleeding Down

There are 2 pilot check valves inside the pump, inside the check valve is a needle that looks like float needle with o-ring looking seal on the end. These seals melt from the heat of the fluid and chatter of the valve. Search for Force 125 on Force forum, Force had almost same check valve, you even use a Force seal to repair the check valve. About 6.00 per seal.
