I have a 1995 maxum with a 4.3literlx with the alpha one drive. The trim would not work and I found the cylinders froze in the up position. I took them off and got them freed up. I took one apart and found some scratches in the housing wall. you could feel them with your fingernail. Can I use emery cloth and smooth them out and then put in a new seal kit? Also the fitting from one of the flex hoses would not come out. I had to drill it out. Although the threads are still there the fitting will not tighten can I use permatex thread repair to fix this. It is supposed to be good for 128 foot pounds of torque. thank you shawn
