tilt trim evinrude compatibility

I have an excellent 73 85 hp evinrude starflight. second owner. never had tilt trim but I have come in possession of an 1979 tilt trim unit from a ll5 hp evinrude also in excellent condition. can I easily marry these two ? thanks

Nope. The '79 trim unit is made for installation inside the stern brackets. The '73 to '77 V4's have to use an external cylinder trim unit.
