I'm going to be redoing my tilt / trim unit and can I use hydraulic fluid rather than 20 weight oil. Any and all advice welcome.

Thanks in advance.:)

nope!

best thing since slice bread

non detergent oil I don't remember if its 30 or 10SAE.

need to flush with mineral oil then add non detergent oil and purge by lifting and letting go down.

There's actually a specific fluid for T&T called, "Power Trim and Tilt Fluid" which comes in 10 oz or quarts bottle. And it is available here at iboats. However, if you want to save a couple of bucks, you can also use the ATF.
