Tilt/Trim guage not working

I have a 150 Yami 4 stroke. A couple of trips ago my faris guage stopped working on the trim. I took the sending unit off the motor and took it apart to make sure the spring wasn't stuck down and everything checked out ok. When you turn the motor off, the trim guage needle will go to the up position. When you turn the motor on, it will go to the down position. What can I do from here, any ideas?

check the resitance on the pink and black wires at the sender harness. then test the orange to balck at the gauge connection. also make sure the sender cam is not broken. and lastly next time pay the extra for a real rigging package. Fairia ,IMHO, is junk before its installed and gets worse with age. but its simple to test all of it.
