have 2 early 1980's Mercury's 90 & 115. Want to trade out the good tilt & trim for the bad one on the boat now. How do I get the top half of the motor disconnected from tilt & trim? I know the gear linkage runs down through there also. To get this out have to disconnect carbs, correct? don't understand how top comes off. found two bolts at top that looks like they should be it but turned them and nothing happens but keeps turning. actully it seems to be connected at top of lower unit. Have bottom off but can't seem to understand this top part. Any Help out there?
