Tilt Trim Interchangability

I have a 73 65hp Johnson. I would like to add power trim/tilt to it this summer.

I would like to know what other trim and tilt units will interchange. I assume all the 3 cyl engines 60-75hp will interchange. Will any others?

I've searched a bunch and not come up with answers.



In case it comes up, I really prefer a stock type trim/tilt not an add on CMC unit. Reason being the boat is a tiller, and I do not want the engine set back any.

I'm a little surprised by the lack of responses to this thread.

I'm still curious, because I think I'm going to try and get this purchased and installed before summer.
Will a later Tilt/Trim unit work on this motor?

For instance a mid 80's to mid 90's tilt/trim?
