Update on tilt/trim jerks when lowering: this is on a pair of 1995 200 hp Johnsons with hydraulic steering. Hydraulic fluid level ok.in tilt reservoir. Found that battery was very weak and after charging battery the tilt jerking problem went away. Possible that tilt pump wasn't turning enough revs until battery was brought back up . A new one for me-- you live and learn with a boat!
